Museomix is a community of like-minded people who work to shake things up in museums. It can be described as the fusion of a hackathon and a startup weekend. Museomix is an association and relies heavily on volunteers to runs its events.
Our role in this project is to spread the Museomix brand and message to attract volunteers, participants, and museums.
Portraying the diversity
The main event is a 3 days creative marathon, in 2018 we helped document the diversity of the profiles involved. During the event in at the EFFL ArtLab we shot a series of over 50 portraits.
After the event, those photos have been published together with a quote to provide engaging content from all the social networks. The posting has been scheduled for 3 months.
Slamming for the Baslers
Museomix in Switzerland is very much French speaking. To reach the Swiss-German audience, we collaborated with Andreas Dill and shot this video in dialect. A very small setup and 2 hours in the “studio” enabled us to come up with this great result.
To attract more volunteers for the event in Basel, we created an Instagram campaign. During 1 month we showcased existing volunteers and a statement explaining their motivation to take part in the project. Those posts had a good engagement rate and significant echo in the whole Museomix community.
