Contrairement \u00e0 ce que j’aime laisser croire et penser, je n’ai rien de vert. Je trie mes d\u00e9chets, j’utilise les transport public au maximum, je j’essaie de manger bio et local autant que possible. Mais non, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est bien diff\u00e9rente. Un chiffre et un seul 15,6<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

15,6 c’est le nombre de tonnes de Co2<\/strong> que j’ai envoy\u00e9 dans l’atmosph\u00e8re durant les derniers 365 jours<\/strong> sur cette petite plan\u00e8te. C’est beaucoup, mais c’est surtout 4 tonnes de trop<\/strong> pour \u00eatre Kyoto compatible 1). En clair, je g\u00e9n\u00e8re trop de Co2 pour \u00eatre durable, soutenable, vert, responsable… en gros je ne suis pas \u00e9colo.<\/p>\n

Je m’int\u00e9resse de pr\u00e8s \u00e0 tout les d\u00e9veloppement des \u00e9nergies renouvelable, de moyens de devenir plus \u00e9cologique, au marketing vert. J’aimerai convaincre les gens de devenir plus vert, de manger moins de viande, d’utiliser les transports publique. Mais comment \u00eatre cr\u00e9dible<\/strong> lorsque l’on fait, exactement l’oppos\u00e9 du discours que l’on tient? C’est simple, on ne peut pas.<\/p>\n

D’o\u00f9 proviennent ces 15.6 tonnes ?<\/h2>\n

\"GraphiqueJ’ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 le calcul du total de mes \u00e9missions sur le site leclimatentrenosmains.org. Celui-ci a l’avantage de garder en m\u00e9moire l’\u00e9volution de vos \u00e9missions. Le site est loin d’\u00eatre parfait avec ses quelques gros soucis d’ergonomie, mais passons.<\/p>\n

Concernant mon cas, je vous \u00e9pargne les d\u00e9tails. Le graphique ci-contre illustre bien les sources de Co2. La grande barre bleu repr\u00e9sente le transport<\/strong>. Si vous la comparez avec la moyenne, c’est bien en dessus. D’apr\u00e8s le site, les suisses g\u00e9n\u00e8rent en moyenne 300kg de Co2 pour leurs voyagent en avion. L’ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e, j’en ai\u00a0 pomp\u00e9 6’000 kg<\/strong> 2) dans l’atmosph\u00e8re. 20X plus <\/strong>que mes concitoyens. A\u00efe a\u00efe, pas cool pour la belle bleue.<\/p>\n

15 tonnes en images<\/h2>\n

Le Co2 a le gros d\u00e9savantage de ne pas \u00eatre visible<\/strong>. Ben oui, imaginez une train\u00e9e noire derri\u00e8re chaque avion, une grosse bulle sombre autour de vos kiwis n\u00e9oz\u00e9landais… Cela rendrait la pollution plus visible, et les gens plus sensible, je pense. Mais retournons \u00e0 nos moutons.<\/p>\n

15 tonne de Co2 c’est 8343 m3. En gros, un cube de 20x20x20m ou encore une grosse boule de 54m<\/strong> de diam\u00e8tre enti\u00e8rement remplie de gaz. Alors imaginons la terre, telle une piscine Ikea pour enfants, couverte de 7 milliards ces gigantesques sph\u00e8res. Ouch!<\/p>\n

Alors la solution magique? Plus d’avion!<\/h2>\n

Mon but \u00e9tant d’adopter un mode de vie durable. De r\u00e9ussir \u00e0 limiter mes \u00e9missions pour que l’on ne d\u00e9passe pas cette satan\u00e9e limite de 350ppm<\/strong>. De devenir \u00e9colo en sommes. La solution pour mon cas est simple et mais radicale. Ne plus prendre l’avion<\/strong>. Fini les vacances de 2 semaines au Br\u00e9sil, le trip d’un weekend \u00e0 Londres. Dommage, j’adore les voyages. Il va falloir de trouver d’autre alternative, et sur qu’il y en a. Je vais tenter le coup pour les 365 prochains jours, trouver des alternatives, tester. C’est dit, depuis aujourd’hui et jusqu’au 14 octobre 2010, l’avion, je le prends plus! Ca va \u00eatre chaud.<\/p>\n

Et vous?<\/h2>\n

Je vais pas vous demander d’abandonner l’avion, mais commen\u00e7ons pas une \u00e9valuation<\/strong>. Avez-vous d\u00e9j\u00e0 calcul\u00e9 vos \u00e9missions de Co2? Peut-\u00eatre que vous \u00eates pas aussi pollueur que vous le croyez. D’ailleurs, il y de tr\u00e8s forte chance que vous soyez mieux plac\u00e9 que moi.<\/strong> Je vous conseille d’aller faire un tour sur le site leclimatentrenosmains.org et de prendre un peu de temps pour le calcul initial. Apr\u00e8s \u00e0 vous d’en tirer les conclution.<\/p>\n

1) Pour limiter le r\u00e9chauffement climatique, le protocole de Kyoto veut que chaque Suisse \u00e9mette moins de 11.7 tonnes de Co2 par ann\u00e9e.
\n2) J’ai compens\u00e9 les \u00e9missions de mes trajets a\u00e9rien avec MyClimate<\/a>. Mais je vais traiter le sujet de compensation dans un autre post.<\/small><\/p>\n
